Taipei board meeting
I flew over for a day of meetings with the Taipei board and some of its local members. Thank you to everyone there for their time and hospitality. The day was dedicated to discussing the benefits of the organisation. It is great to see that the members were interested in all the global benefits. I do hope they all register for future events and get to meet lots of EOers globally.

Hand over planning
To all the current Area Directors please ensure you are planning a phone call or a catch up meeting with your successor for the year to come. It is very important to offer this helping hand to the incoming person so that there is consistency. I am sure there are outstanding issues that still need to be attended to ….these need to be handed onto your new AD.Also you should also be in contact with all your presidents to ensure they are registered for the GLC ideally in Auckland or at least in Washington.
SO please in the next week please get in contact with you new Area Directors and Presidents and ensure things are happening.
For Presidents reading this ….contact your Area Director if you need any extra aid with the GLC planning and registration.
Here is the place to register yourself for the Auckland GLC https://www.eonetwork.org/Events/ViewEvent.aspx?ID=6668
Forum Training – South Africa
I had a great day on the Monday the 3rd doing forum training. I got to meet some great new members. I also learnt so much about the country of South Africa. On the Sunday the 3rd I would like to thank Mark, David, and Orrin for taking me out to dinner. It was so much fun to spend some time with the local board and discuss EO issues…and of course have a few drinks!!!!!!Also thank you to Angel for Monday nights dinner …. you are a famous EOer with your very innovative methods. You were a great inspiration to me. One of the greatest highlights of the trip was the flight across from Sydney that tracked over Melbourne then Hobart, and then right down to the South Pole…we got to see all the ice, sheet ice …. it was awesome!!!!

You get the opportunity to really make you mark. I thank each of you in your regions. All of Asia Pacific has performed very well and I think it is because of the great team we have been. I know some of you are continuing in your regions and others are not. I am sure for those moving on like my self this year has brought about some great memories which we will be able to have for many years to come. I would like to thank Nirmala and and the team in KL (Melissa, Radzi and Andre) for all their help also. I would like to wish Jody good luck with the new role of Regional Director 2006 -2007 .
